Evaluating Neuropsychological Performances in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy Lead Investigator: Carolyn Parsey Institution : University of Washington E-Mail : cmparsey@uw.edu Proposal ID : 1255 Proposal Description: There is a significant gap in the literature of cognitive functioning and domain-specific deficits in older adults with CAA. The pathology of CAA suggests possible overlapping symptoms of both vascular and AD processes. We will be evaluating the cognitive performances with presence of amyloid burden in this subgroup of older adults. 1) Evaluate cognitive performances on neuropsychological tests of older adults with diagnosis of CAA 2) Compare neuropsychological profiles of CAA with VaD and AD 3) Compare cognitive performances with biomarkers and neuroimaging findings for people with CAA diagnosis
